UMRWD permits are required for work such as:
Shoreline Alterations
Installation of main tile
Installation of seepage tile
Cleaning ditches
Creating new ditches
Restoring and/or cleaning of waterways
Installation or replacement of culverts and installation of pumps 

Other types of work may also require a permit. 
If you have questions regarding the permitting process please refer to the Rules and Regulations to the left or contact our office.

Aerial photos with scale drawings of proposed projects are required to be submitted with the completed permit application.

The UMRWD strongly suggests you view and consider the following Public Waters and Wetlands Maps before making plans to alter your drainage.

This interactive site will allow you to view wetlands and riparian as well as FWS Managed Lands.
Please take this information into consideration when applying for permits.

Please Note: Permit applications are to be received a minimum of five business days prior to the next board meeting for consideration at that meeting. If requesting a permit for installing tile, all tile sizes and lengths must be in included on the permit; applications that do not include tile size and length will not be considered for approval.
